#SachchiAdvice That made a difference in my Life

It is exactly 5 years back on 27th of September my journey with IT industry started. I was a fresher who wanted to spread my wings and had a dream of roaming the whole world and leave my mark in the world. Fresh from the campus after completing the engineering course, I chose to follow my dreams and stepped into the unknown far away from home. The Journey took me to Mumbai , Bangalore and Hyderabad where I spent my next 2 and half years combined making loads of friends having fun and exploring multiple cultures and places. I got a new perspective in life and learned lot by being independent. Life was full of fun and entertainment.

As they say “grass is always greener on the other side” all of my friends started looking for better opportunities  as they grew tired of being in a single firm for more than two years. I too got into the fad and started looking for greener pastures. When I told my parents about the job search, they asked me why don’t you search in Chennai and come live with us. Even though I stayed in touch with my family and friends through calls, social media on daily basis but still it felt like something was always missing. So I attended few telephonic interviews for Chennai Jobs. Still I was hesitant as my friends were searching jobs in Bangalore as it hosts various opportunities with much better pay for the technology which I specialized in. Within a week or two I got a job offer from a very big product based company in Bangalore for a sum which just took my breath away. The very next day I got a decent offer in Chennai and the work location just 15 minutes from my home. I was not sure of which way to go as one would lead me to more money and other would take me home. I called my dad and asked for advice. He told “Its your life choose whichever you like but don’t regret later that you missed an opportunity”.

All my friends advised to take the job in Bangalore as it was dream job with premium pay scale which according to them it would elevate the happiness. Money is a very powerful thing, it builds empires and breaks down kingdoms, it allows for dreams to come true and it takes others away, it makes some people happy and others completely miserable. As today the pursuit of money is almost directly linked to the pursuit of happiness, many will argue that money = happiness, I also thought to do the same.

Then I called my mom. She told “If you have got an offer in Chennai why thinking about something else, come immediately.” I could recall the voice breaking when my dad said to follow my dream even though he secretly wanted me to come home.  And later when I was going through my mail, I saw one from lifehack.org which was like a savior to me. It was about “how money cant buy you happiness and you yourself can define your happiness and it lies in satisfaction”. It just left me in deep thinking. That was the #SachchiAdvice which has shaped my life and made me what I am today.

For the past two and half years I have been staying with my family without any regrets and waking up to Bed coffee and getting breakfast, dinner and lunch on time and delivered to where I am 😛 ! I can happily say that I don’t have to wake my self anymore using the sound of alarm everyday 😛 ! Here is a little #SachchiAdvice  from my end to you which can change your life just like it did for me !!

Life is really short so instead of spending most of the time brainlessly chasing money you should start from the little things that make you happy.

“Humor is a rubber sword – it allows you to make a point without drawing blood.”

-Mary Hirsch, Humorist

When the Truth Hurts, Tell a Joke. Many people see comedy as merely funny, but there’s more there than just a laugh. While comedians will make everyone uncomfortable at some point, good comics are playing an important function in society by holding up a mirror and forcing us to confront realities that we would often prefer to ignore.   Comedy, especially stand-up comedy, regularly draws criticism for being offensive and for perpetuating negative stereotypes. This, however, is a sign of a healthy comedy culture because it means that comedians are pushing social boundaries. Stories and expressions that are normally unacceptable are met with laughter and agreement when they are told on stage. The fact that the content is encrusted in humor is like a sugar coating to bitter medicine. The laugh takes away the sting.

Laughter is a beautiful expression. A good joke provides tension, and then acts as an release of that tension. Tension is built by saying things that are controversial. The release is the laugh. The bigger the surprise or insight in the joke, the bigger the laugh. The beautiful thing about humor, because it’s subjective, what is funny to one person can be offensive to another. I strongly believe stand up comedy is one of the most powerful tools and venues to educate, heal, incite, and make people ponder about ideas and things beyond themselves.
The Trend is catching up and Liveinstyle is bringing it to INDIA for people to enjoy themselves and have a dose of laughter. Doing a Stand Up comedy needs a brave heart. Because it is about facing those first few sets with nobody laughing and convincing yourself that you are good enough to get on stage again. So Have you got the boldness in you to do #StandUpComedyinStyle?
Here its your right destination as they are in search of the Comedy Hunt — > http://www.liveinstyle.com/stand-up-comedy

We who like to mix drinks at home do it for many reasons: First, it’s cheaper than drinking out. Second, it’s fun to mix your own drinks at home. Third, it’s even more fun to mix drinks for other people at home. The origins of the word “cocktail” are lost to history, but the first definition we find in print comes from an 1806 newspaper from upstate New York. A cocktail is called “a stimulating liquor, composed of spirits of any kind, sugar, water, and bitters…” Over the course of the 19th century, the cocktail picked up a number of additions and refinements: liqueurs, fortified wines, various bits of garnish, etc. Eventually, some drinkers came to prefer a simpler form of cocktail, the type their grandfathers might have enjoyed, and so they’d ask the bartender to make them an “old-fashioned” cocktail, of booze, sugar muddled into water to form a syrup, and bitters. If you want to experience the art of mixing from home Liveinstyle does that for you too !!

Social Media: New Game, New Rules

Sharing is Caring !!

The speed at which social media has taken off has been unprecedented in the history of technological change. It has taken just seven years for Facebook to reach 750 million users worldwide and this is not the only social media site to have attracted large numbers of users in a very short space of time. This massive take-up is having a profound effect on the way in which customers seek information and make purchase decisions. So how can companies take advantage of the opportunities presented by social media to make their mark on this vast audience? And what drives customers to actively engage and follow some brands on social media sites and not others?

If we look closely, we can find the  five key characteristics of ‘socially adaptable’ and successful brands, which I believe all organizations can adapt and learn:

► Facilitate open dialogue

► Engage proactively

► Connect beyond product

► Deliver integrated experiences

► Collaborate and co-develop

Social media is changing the world, and there is no going back. Technological and demographic trends are likely to further accelerate the impacts of social commerce on organizations and their brands in coming years. Leading brands across sectors and geographies are positively embracing this change. Recognizing that the old rules no longer apply, they are seeking to exploit the opportunity presented by social media to build direct, deeper and more relevant relationships with their customers and users. They use these relationships to generate insight from their social interactions with customers, and rigorously apply this insight to their commercial advantage.

Many brands have not yet adapted to social commerce; some will catch up, others won’t. The last time organizations and brands faced such a fundamental change in how their customers engaged and make purchase decisions was during the eCommerce revolution a decade ago. Some brands led the eCommerce revolution, some successfully adapted to it, there were however a number of high‑profile casualties. The new game therefore favors the brave. The winners will be those organizations and brands that seek out the commercial opportunities presented by social commerce and embrace the changes required to adapt to the changing ‘norm’ around them.

Many digital companies want to take advantage of the huge opportunities presented by social media, but do not yet have the organizational structure or the capabilities they need to support their brands effectively in a social world.
