22 Jump Street – Review

Sharing is Caring !!

22 Jump Street is a sequel to the successful comedy film 21 jump Street staring channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.

This film also follows the same formula as of its predecessor where our stars in mid thirties go on a undercover mission at a college to bust open the drug mafia.

The chemistry between the Co stars is amazing which is a big positive in this film. There are some fun moments in the film and crazy dialogues which brings laughter to the audience.  Also the typical bikinis and booze is also part of the film.

The fat female villan is totally unfunny and the thing which surprised me was the crazy credits.  So much of creativity oozed in making those awesome credits.

Overall this movie is a one time watch for folks who watch movie to get entertained.

My Verdict :3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

Say no to classroom hunger

Sharing is Caring !!

HUNGER is a universal problem which is faced by millions of people all over the world.
We often seem to append poor people with hunger. But it ain’t right. Not all poor people are hungry but all most all hungry people are poor.

Food is a basic amenity which everyone should possess.  Due to financial difficulties many are left to starve which leads to malnutrition.  This leads children to take up work in order to feed.  Child laborers give up their childhood to feed their families.

Our government came up with the mid day meal scheme to provide free meal for kids in government and government aided schools so they don’t starve and get a good basic education.

My mom being a teacher in a government school in rural slum area, I have witnessed many kids who turn up to school just for getting the free meal.

When I was in school I eagerly wait for the lunch bell to ring,  so me and my friends can share our food, gossip and have loads of fun. And during college days we use to overeat during lunch and take a nap in evening classes.

It is saddening to hear and see that so many kids starve and yet come to learn to shape their future. There are many drastic effects from these hunger. I have heard that people turn to alcohols and cigarettes as it kills the appetite. But it continues and it becomes an addiction.

Now comes a point where we have to think how to stop this and prevent the classroom hunger

  • Write a blog post! Yes you heard it right. Even this post is  for that campaign. Akshaya Patra and BlogAdda together have come up with a campaign where in they will donate food for a child whole year for one blog post.  Why are you waiting? Start blogging now.
  • How much do you think it costs to feed a child for a year?  750/- rupee only.  We spent so much on taking care of our appearance by buying branded apparels, grooming and for maintaining a social status we often give treats and party. If we just take a fraction that and donate 750 bucks or whatever we are capable to Akshaya Patra a child can stay of hunger for a year.

I am going to #BlogToFeedAChild with Akshaya Patra and BlogAdda.

Invest in people and empower them for a better tomorrow!!

Interstellar Review – A Journey to the Unknown

Sharing is Caring !!

inter

Here I am  penning down my views on Interstellar, the most awaited Film of the year.

NOLAN the name which became a household name after the Dark Knight Trilogy & who took us to Dream in Epic Proportions in his movie Inception comes up with this grandiose space saga which deals with Love, sacrifice, survival of human race.

He takes us to a non stop grand journey into the unknown and keeps us glued to the screen & gives us a grand visual treat. The background score by Hans Zimmer is second best to none .

The casting was perfect and the child actress who portrays Murphy and Mathew who plays Cooper steal the show along with the Robot TARS.

The Movie throws so many scientific theories and terms which may not be grasped at the first watch by normal movie goers. But the core of the film deals with the human element, the sentiment, family bonding and true love.

Over all this movie is a awesome one with beautiful CGI and leaves the watchers speechless at the end. Some drawbacks according to me was regarding the Tesseract and Dr.Mann’s (Matt Damon) sudden intention change while being in that planet. So i had cut half of the stars for it 😀

My Verdict: 4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

It is a Must Watch for SCI FI fans

If I Stay – Review

Sharing is Caring !!

If I Stay is a beautiful,  moving and picturesque drama film staring Chloé grace moretz of kickass fame.
image

The movie revolves around Chloé, her loving and caring family, a fairy-tale lover of sorts Adam and her aspiration of becoming a cello player and getting into prestigious Juilliard College.

It is an emotional drama of sorts which is highly predictable and the soundtrack just blends so nicely and gives a good feel to the movie.

The performance of the cast is ordinary and the soundtrack makes this movie a one time watch. The movie may please the audience who likes slow drama which bring down tears.

My Verdict: 3 out of 5 stars (3 / 5)

Kaththi Review – Sharpu da

Sharing is Caring !!

Kaththi is a Tamil film staring Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Samantha which is directed by Gajini fame AR Murugadoss. It premiered this diwali to a record shattering opening in Tamilnadu.

Please find below my review of the film.

Opening prison break seems too exaggerated but it plays it part in climax and does give a decent intro to vijay.

Samantha may be cute but scenes involving her and the romantic songs are unnecessary insertions which hinders the pace of the film and slows down the first half of the movie.
Intermission ends with a bang.

Second half is pacy , even though coin fight and certain scenes defy logics it still entertains and that makes it enjoyable.

Bgm tharumaaru.

I don’t know why directors always want to poke their face into the screen. The scene with ARM may be a serious one but it brings only laughter.

Overall its a good entertainer and a treat for Vijay fans after a mediocre Jilla.

My Verdict: 3.5 out of 5 stars (3.5 / 5)
