As you might be aware, Bharti Airtel, India’s largest telecom operator by subscribers, on Thursday (6th August 2015) announced the commercial launch of its high speed 4G services (also called LTE) in 296 towns across India.

They had earlier launched 4G service in select cities such as Bangalore, Chennai in India. Airtel also announced tie-ups with Flipkart and Samsung for bundling 4G handsets with its services.

Well if you are thinking it would be too costly to afford, you are dead wrong, Airtel is giving out these 4G super speed packs in same price as  3G data packs starting at Rs 25, the telecom operator said in a statement.

They have also launched an automated platform called Flexpage that allows customers to track their data usage and get real time usage alerts. With Flexpage, customers can also upgrade their mobile plan on the go, as and when they exhaust their monthly data quota. Under this platform, customers can opt from a range of 4G data plans, with prices starting from Rs 100.

To get started with 4G all you need is to follow the below steps.

  • Get a 4G device
  • Get a 4G Sim
  • Subscribe to 4G Plan

Apart from Airtel stores, Samsung retail stores will also facilitate 4G SIM swaps. If you wish to get 4G sim home delivered, Airtel also gives that option.

Airtel also introduced a new range of ‘Infinity Plans’ starting Rs.999. These plans offer unlimited voice calls along with data benefits and access to Wynk Movies and Wynk Music apps.

To show their top speed, they have also listed a challenge where in if you can show your pack has more speed, they will pay your bill for a whole year. Sounds interesting? give it a try then !!
