Lyrics Card – Part 1

Sharing is Caring !!

There are various quotes about both pictures and music

Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything

Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.

Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.

A picture speaks more than thousand words

I for one feel good music is mostly down the lyrics behind the song. As I was bored laying in the bed wasting my weekend I tried to merge both the powerful lyrics from some of my favorite songs with some awesome pictures.
The result was Boom!!! Magic!!
It yielded some amazing wallpapers with quotes (lyrics card) which I love.

I am sharing some of them here below.

Real men do their own laundry

Sharing is Caring !!

wp-1457638135021.jpeg

Last year An Indonesian sports apparel company named Salvo Sports on their new jersey model released for a football team added the wordings inside the label “Give this jersey to your woman. IT’S HER JOB” as a tip for wash care. It backfired so massively and they were made to apologize publicly and later released a statement.

The statement came as follows

The message is simply ‘rather than fussing and washing wrongly, it is better to let the women do it as they understand the problem better’. There is no intention at all to insult women. In fact it’s the contrary, (telling men to) learn how to take care of their clothing from women as they are more thorough. Not all men understand or know how to take care of their clothing, women are experts in such matters.

This incident proves not only in INDIA , these gender prejudices exist worldwide and most of the people think women are meant to do the cooking and laundry work, while men are to earn and provide for the family.

Recent shift in growth of society as a whole is mainly due to  the emergence of gender equality & women getting equal opportunities in workplace etc.

Multiple surveys show statistics such as ‘70% of married Indian women feel they spend more time on household work than with their husbands‘ ,’ 76% of Indian men believe laundry is a woman’s job‘ ,’85% of working Indian women feel they have two jobs, one at work and the other at home‘,’more than 2/3rd of Indian men prefer to watch TV than do the laundry‘,’more than 2/3rd of married Indian women believe their marriage would be happier if the man did the laundry at home‘ .  Incidents such as above and these survey results show that why as a society we are not moving forward and just going backwards.

Why go backwards? Just be a real men, #ShareTheLoad  and lets move forward as a nation!!

Happier household is one where all responsibilities are shared. Sharing is caring. So lets take a pledge , Share the load and lessen the burden on the women of our family and make them smile.

#SachchiAdvice That made a difference in my Life

Sharing is Caring !!

It is exactly 5 years back on 27th of September my journey with IT industry started. I was a fresher who wanted to spread my wings and had a dream of roaming the whole world and leave my mark in the world. Fresh from the campus after completing the engineering course, I chose to follow my dreams and stepped into the unknown far away from home. The Journey took me to Mumbai , Bangalore and Hyderabad where I spent my next 2 and half years combined making loads of friends having fun and exploring multiple cultures and places. I got a new perspective in life and learned lot by being independent. Life was full of fun and entertainment.

As they say “grass is always greener on the other side” all of my friends started looking for better opportunities  as they grew tired of being in a single firm for more than two years. I too got into the fad and started looking for greener pastures. When I told my parents about the job search, they asked me why don’t you search in Chennai and come live with us. Even though I stayed in touch with my family and friends through calls, social media on daily basis but still it felt like something was always missing. So I attended few telephonic interviews for Chennai Jobs. Still I was hesitant as my friends were searching jobs in Bangalore as it hosts various opportunities with much better pay for the technology which I specialized in. Within a week or two I got a job offer from a very big product based company in Bangalore for a sum which just took my breath away. The very next day I got a decent offer in Chennai and the work location just 15 minutes from my home. I was not sure of which way to go as one would lead me to more money and other would take me home. I called my dad and asked for advice. He told “Its your life choose whichever you like but don’t regret later that you missed an opportunity”.

All my friends advised to take the job in Bangalore as it was dream job with premium pay scale which according to them it would elevate the happiness. Money is a very powerful thing, it builds empires and breaks down kingdoms, it allows for dreams to come true and it takes others away, it makes some people happy and others completely miserable. As today the pursuit of money is almost directly linked to the pursuit of happiness, many will argue that money = happiness, I also thought to do the same.

Then I called my mom. She told “If you have got an offer in Chennai why thinking about something else, come immediately.” I could recall the voice breaking when my dad said to follow my dream even though he secretly wanted me to come home.  And later when I was going through my mail, I saw one from lifehack.org which was like a savior to me. It was about “how money cant buy you happiness and you yourself can define your happiness and it lies in satisfaction”. It just left me in deep thinking. That was the #SachchiAdvice which has shaped my life and made me what I am today.

For the past two and half years I have been staying with my family without any regrets and waking up to Bed coffee and getting breakfast, dinner and lunch on time and delivered to where I am 😛 ! I can happily say that I don’t have to wake my self anymore using the sound of alarm everyday 😛 ! Here is a little #SachchiAdvice  from my end to you which can change your life just like it did for me !!

Life is really short so instead of spending most of the time brainlessly chasing money you should start from the little things that make you happy.

“Humor is a rubber sword – it allows you to make a point without drawing blood.”

-Mary Hirsch, Humorist

When the Truth Hurts, Tell a Joke. Many people see comedy as merely funny, but there’s more there than just a laugh. While comedians will make everyone uncomfortable at some point, good comics are playing an important function in society by holding up a mirror and forcing us to confront realities that we would often prefer to ignore.   Comedy, especially stand-up comedy, regularly draws criticism for being offensive and for perpetuating negative stereotypes. This, however, is a sign of a healthy comedy culture because it means that comedians are pushing social boundaries. Stories and expressions that are normally unacceptable are met with laughter and agreement when they are told on stage. The fact that the content is encrusted in humor is like a sugar coating to bitter medicine. The laugh takes away the sting.

Laughter is a beautiful expression. A good joke provides tension, and then acts as an release of that tension. Tension is built by saying things that are controversial. The release is the laugh. The bigger the surprise or insight in the joke, the bigger the laugh. The beautiful thing about humor, because it’s subjective, what is funny to one person can be offensive to another. I strongly believe stand up comedy is one of the most powerful tools and venues to educate, heal, incite, and make people ponder about ideas and things beyond themselves.
The Trend is catching up and Liveinstyle is bringing it to INDIA for people to enjoy themselves and have a dose of laughter. Doing a Stand Up comedy needs a brave heart. Because it is about facing those first few sets with nobody laughing and convincing yourself that you are good enough to get on stage again. So Have you got the boldness in you to do #StandUpComedyinStyle?
Here its your right destination as they are in search of the Comedy Hunt — > http://www.liveinstyle.com/stand-up-comedy

We who like to mix drinks at home do it for many reasons: First, it’s cheaper than drinking out. Second, it’s fun to mix your own drinks at home. Third, it’s even more fun to mix drinks for other people at home. The origins of the word “cocktail” are lost to history, but the first definition we find in print comes from an 1806 newspaper from upstate New York. A cocktail is called “a stimulating liquor, composed of spirits of any kind, sugar, water, and bitters…” Over the course of the 19th century, the cocktail picked up a number of additions and refinements: liqueurs, fortified wines, various bits of garnish, etc. Eventually, some drinkers came to prefer a simpler form of cocktail, the type their grandfathers might have enjoyed, and so they’d ask the bartender to make them an “old-fashioned” cocktail, of booze, sugar muddled into water to form a syrup, and bitters. If you want to experience the art of mixing from home Liveinstyle does that for you too !!

My New Favorite Phone

Sharing is Caring !!

“Wait! Stop! Which phone is that? Hey is it the new ASUS ZenFone 2? I heard a lot about this upcoming phone from ASUS! It has incredible features and specs isn’t it? What about the ASUS ZenFone 2 price in India? People are saying it’s priced at a reasonable rate! How did you manage to grab this phone? I envy you! I want to own it right now…”

This is exactly what every single individual I meet will say to me when I get my hands on the brand new, stunning ASUS ZenFone 2! This beauty from ASUS has all the right reasons why every individual should purchase. Smartphones are supposed to bring about a new experience in an individual’s life but with the ASUS ZenFone 2, it would create a new meaning altogether. Not only in terms of convenience, but its smart technology combined with its stylish looks would make it a must-buy option. So, here are the 5 best reasons how the ASUS ZenFone 2 can take my smartphone experience a notch higher:

1. Super Fast Charging

Now charging gets faster on the ASUS ZenFone 2! Image source: http://www.asus.com/Phones/ZenFone_2_ZE551ML/

With so many applications to use, the one thing that worries smartphone users is drained up battery. Can you imagine you are in the middle of an important call or perhaps you are engrossed watching the climax scene of a movie, and the battery just drops dead! Ouch! That hurts, doesn’t it? But with the ASUS ZenFone 2, your battery is juiced up to 60% in- hold your breath- less than 39 minutes! (*drum rolls please*). The ASUS BoostMaster technology, which is exclusively limited to ASUS devices, offers faster charging than traditional speeds on the ZenFone 2. This means that I don’t have to wait for long hours to let my phone charge. The rapid charging rate of the phone keeps me on the go!

2. Excellent pictures even under low light conditions

Enjoy capturing high-quality pictures under low-light conditions! Image Source: http://www.asus.com/Phones/ZenFone_2_ZE551ML/

When I head out for dinner with my friends, there may be dim lights at the restaurant. But that will neither hamper my mood nor restrict me from clicking high-quality pictures. The 13 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture lens of the ASUS ZenFone 2 ensures that it captures the beautiful smiles on our faces even under low light conditions. It makes the images 400% brighter at night and can you guess what? I don’t need a flash to click more vivid photos! Wow! That is the power of its HDR functionality. When my friends demand a group selfie, I know that they won’t be disappointed as the 5 MP front camera of the phone captures crystal clear images.

3. Stunning Slim Body which fits in the palm

The ASUS ZenFone 2 has a stylish and slim body! Image Source: http://www.asus.com/Phones/ZenFone_2_ZE551ML/

As a shopaholic, I usually end up carrying multiple shopping bags in my hands. What about my phone? How am I to hold it? No, worries! The ultra-thin ergonomic design of the ASUS ZenFone 2 sits comfortably in the palm of my hands. The brushed metallic finish of the body and the concentric circle detailing can allow me to hold it effortlessly.  The elegant and eye-catching look of the device makes it incredible, and I know that firm grip on the body will ensure it doesn’t slip from my hands. Isn’t that cool?

4. Brings characters to life while watching HD movies

Enjoy breath-taking visuals! Image Source: http://www.phonesreview.co.uk/wp-content/phoneimages/asus.zenfone-2.jpg

It’s my favorite scene from my most-watched Hollywood action film. It feels life-like! Thanks to the 1920 x 1080 full HD IPS display of the ASUS ZenFone 2! The 5.5-inch screen with 16 M colors and 403ppi pixel density ensures details in every shot. It seems as if the visuals are leaping off the screen. Even better, the 72% screen-to-body ratio creates a make-belief aura. Each and every scene seems impeccable and maximizes my viewing experience. My movie-watching experience is bound to get a hundred times better with the ASUS ZenFone 2.

5. Multitasking without the worry of any lag

The phone has a 64-bit super quad-core Intel Atom processor. And a 4 GB RAM combined with it? You may think I am kidding! But no this is true! I can enjoy transitioning between creating a presentation, chatting with my friends, listening to music, watching movies, and much more. In spite of running so many applications, there would be no sign of phone lag on the ASUS ZenFone 2. As an avid gamer, I can continue to play my favorite games, shop on an E-commerce app, and surf the internet, all at the same time. And still not a sign of my phone slowing down. Evidently, the ASUS ZenFone 2 calls for a round of applause!

The power-pack ASUS ZenFone 2 has all it takes to be ranked as the #1 smartphone of the year. With its brilliant functions and features, it has become my all new Favorite phone !!

Advertisements – The Good Bad And the Ugly

Sharing is Caring !!

Advertisements or commercials are normally the things which we love to hate. Because they pop up unannounced when we are immersed into the TV watching a high intensity match or a climax of a movie. Most of us use it as the time to skip through channels to find anything interesting is being shown in other channels. But there are some ads which are either made so cleverly or so dumb, that we cant get it off our mind. In this post I will list down some of those ads which fall in that category.

If you are from the 90’s you would remember this ad which is shown repeatedly in Doordarshan every five minutes when there is a break. Even though its made decently to convey the message, the jingle at the end “Vajrudanti vajrudanti vicco vajrudanti vicco powder vicco paste …” keeps ringing in your head and repeated hearing may even lead to insomnia 😛 ! I don’t know why even today they use this same jingle in their commercials 🙁

Well as I spoke about Jingle, there is one which became so close to heart and finally a ringtone for millions of Indians. Its none other than the Airtel Ad featuring Music maestro AR RAHMAN. The Music was godesque and so soothing to hear.

There are some wonderful commercials which shows the world, how advanced we have become in technology and other areas.  This ad from Hyundai creating and delivering Message to space is surely an achievement, we can be proud of !!

As humans we always look for inspiration to motivate us. And there are some commercials which within their limited 1 or 2 minutes time, touch our deepest part of the heart and leave us inspiring !

Below are few of those inspirational ads !!

Well when you think of corporates and conglomerates there are always rivals and competitors. And some of them come up with brilliant and funny ads to showcase their brand has more value than its rivals.

We all know how big the rivalry is with Samsung and Apple. And when Samsung started to mock Apple and its fan boys in its commercial it became a huge hit and soon other mobile manufacturers followed it up with similar tactics.

Check out one of the first such commercial of S3 mocking Apple 😛 !!

If we are talking about rivalry, we cannot miss out the Coke wars between Coca Cola and Pepsi !! If you take a look at the below commercial You will know of sure who comes out at top 😛 !! Even though its banned, its sure to tickle some funny bones !!

Recently when Cadbury came knocking Nestle’s door by mocking its Munch, Nestle gave the perfect Punch as a reply.Check it out in below commercials 🙂

Finally we watch these ads to act as a small medium of smile and laughter to spice up the mood. There are so many commercials which bring out smile and laughter. Lets check out some of them below !! It hosts some of the funniest commercials ever to be telecasted 🙂

If we are talking funny, how can we leave out PEPSI ? They themselves have some of the funniest ads to be created and telecasted in the media. Let me list some of them below !!

Did you like what you have seen Or have I missed some good ones? Share your views in comments below !!

Note:

“This Pepsi IPL, it’s not just about cricket. It’s time to crash with your own created ad! Make your own Pepsi ad & if it’s chosen, it could play on TV during Pepsi IPL! And hey, it doesn’t end here… Even if you’re chosen as a finalist, you stand a chance of winning a prize amount of Rs.1 lakh! So what are you waiting for guys?”

I recently came across the video which shows everyone (from kids to grannies) was wanting to go to Guptaji’s House for Nashta (Breakfast).

As there was no mention of what the breakfast was all about, I started to Google to find an answer (As all software engineers do :P). By searching I came across the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/anaajkanashta which led me to all the secret breakfast recipes in Guptaji’s house. It hosted more than 100 delicious recipes which made my mouth watery & stomach feel hungry.

Breakfast is mandatory for everyone as it is the one which kick starts our body’s metabolism process. Everyone wants to have a healthy breakfast. Healthy breakfast helps start the day off right. By consuming nutritionally sound breakfast which is packed with protein and fiber, we will inherit the energy to get through the day and receive the satisfaction to hold on over until lunch. However, if breakfast is laden with fat, we will suffer the consequence of a mid-morning energy crash and will probably feel hungry again.

Cornflakes is a popular breakfast option which is also termed to be healthy. One cup of Corn Flakes contains 100 calories, and none of these calories are derived from fat. Per serving, this fat-free and cholesterol-free cereal holds:

  • 200 mg of sodium
  • 25 mg of protein
  • 24 g of carbohydrates
  • 1 g of fiber
  • 2 g of sugar
  • 2 g of protein

The following nutrients are also found in a cup of Corn Flakes:

  • Vitamin A – 10%
  • Vitamin C – 10%
  • Calcium – 0%
  • Iron – 45%
  • Vitamin D – 10%
  • Thiamin (B1 – )25%
  • Riboflavin (B2 ) – 25%
  • Niacin (B3) – 25%
  • Vitamin B6 – 25%
  • Folic Acid (Folate) – 25%
  • Vitamin B12 – 25%

Even though cornflakes are crunchier they doesn’t taste so good if taken alone. For the sake of our taste buds and also to have a healthy breakfast, it will do lot of good, if there are multiple variants or recipes which involves corn flakes. It will not only make the breakfast healthy but also tastier, so everyone can consume something good and different everyday in the morning. This presence of 100 plus recipes involving corn flakes is what making everyone crave for a breakfast at Guptaji’s house. The same holds true to me too.
